We regularly review our accreditations and memberships, and seek to add to them where required.
Safe, highly skilled & conscientious
Ensuring that our staff and the people within the buildings in which we are working are safe, is of vital importance to us here at Aimteq.
We’re obliged to follow the legislation set down in the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, CDM 2007 and in the new CDM2015.
We have also undertaken further accreditation to ensure we’re compliant with contemporary standards for business continuity and energy management, as well as enhanced disclosures that enable us to work in government buildings.
We’re committed to being compliant, safe and to working to the highest standards possible. To that end we seek to continue to improve our accreditation portfolio on an on-going basis. A full description of all of our accreditations can be found below.
ISO 22301 is used to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and continually improve a documented management system to protect against, reduce the likelihood of occurrence, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive incidents when they arise.
ISO9001 is a certified quality management system (QMS) for organisations who want to prove their ability to consistently provide products and services that meet the needs of their customers and other relevant stakeholders.
ISO14001 is the principal management system standard which specifies the requirements for the formulation and maintenance of an EMS. This helps to control your environmental aspects, reduce impacts and ensure legal compliance.
SMAS is the main health and safety assessment scheme used by UK construction companies, and is a member of the Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) Forum – a network of assessment bodies dedicated to ensuring accredited bodies hold themselves to the highest standards of health and safety.
Safecontractor is a leading accreditation scheme which recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors. Safecontractor is applicable to most sectors although it is particularly relevant to food manufacture, property, facilities management, retail and leisure sectors.
NICEIC’s Approved Contractor Scheme is designed to maintain and publish a register of electrical contractors that have been assessed against a specific set of competency requirements, in particular the national electrical safety standard BS 7671 (the IET Wiring Regulations).
Constructionline is the UK’s leading procurement and supply chain management service that collects, assesses and monitors standard company information through a question set that is aligned to PAS 91, the standardised pre-qualification questionnaire developed by BSI to reduce duplication within the construction industry.
EU CoC for Data Centres
The European Code of Conduct for Data Centres programme is a voluntary initiative managed by the Joint Research Centre (JRC), the European Commission’s in-house science service. The CoC exists to inform and stimulate operators and owners to reduce energy consumption in a cost-effective manner without hampering the critical function of data centres.
The Eurosafe UK CDM Competent Scheme is a health and safety assessment exercise based on the requirements of the CDM Regulations 2015 and other workplace related legislation.
MOD Security Cleared
We have members of staff that have been Security Checked by the UKSV to work within MOD sites. Security Clearance is needed to protect against threats from hostile intelligence services, cyber security threats, terrorists and other pressure groups and is a prerequisite for working on MOD sites.
Disclosure & Barring Service
Our engineers are checked by the DBS using their Standard check. These checks identify any criminal convictions, both spent and unspent, cautions, warnings and reprimands. These checks are vital for working in schools, hospitals and other sensitive areas.
All our engineers carry SKILL cards, the industry-recognised card scheme for people working in the mechanical sector of the building services engineering industry throughout the UK.
The Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO) is the exclusive global training body for the Certified Measurement & Verification Professional® (CMVP). EVO developed and owns the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol® (IPMVP) and training material used with the CMVP examination.
The BCIA is a single voice, representing a growing and dynamic building controls and BEMS sector in the UK. The BCIA has a number of key functions that support its members including, lobbying, providing training, providing market insights and providing a platform for shared interests.
What our customers think
Environment & Emergency Planning Manager
“...there is a distinct downward trend in energy usage across all sites. Indeed, the figures show the lowest energy consumption for five years over comparable periods for those stations that haven’t had major infrastructure upgrades...”
Energy Management Lead
“I’ve been really impressed by Aimteq’s project management and communication throughout. They have bent over backwards to ensure smooth project delivery. Furthermore, they are very dedicated and have come back to the site to resolve a few very minor snags.”
Director of Safety, Health & Environment
“Another reason we opted for the Aimteq solution was the bureau service, which meant we could delegate the controls to an expert, who could remotely optimise energy consumption across all sites on an ongoing basis.”
"The bureau offers fantastic customer service, and importantly, is operates 24/7; longer than any of the bureau services we researched. We get through to a real person straight away and changes are made quickly."
Director of energy & carbon
“The WEMS technology installed by Aimteq has underpinned the success of our smart energy programme at BT. It gives us remote control over the air handling systems and enables us to optimise energy usage. As a result of the proven success, we have now agreed a contract to expand the programme further.”
Energy & Environment Manager
"Aimteq installed the WEMS system and I have seen my energy consumption drop by over 40%. If the system gets overridden, Aimteq work with our sites to resolve the problem and turn the system back to auto control. This maintains our environmental conditions and enhances our savings."
DCS Incident Manager
"When Colt started to expand beyond London in the late 1990s we needed some form of building management technology to support our remote sites and deliver alarms to a central server. Today we have scores of sites and Aimteq has been an excellent support partner throughout our evolution. We have almost day-to-day interaction with Aimteq and regular reviews with their team."
"Matalan has made the commitment to have the WEMS system installed by Aimteq in all our retail outlets. The installed stores have shown a considerable reduction in energy consumption of circa 18% and this is reflected in our energy bill which has decreased dramatically since implementation."
Operations Director, Carbon & Energy Solutions
"We have used Aimteq on many sensitive government buildings and projects. At these locations, discretion, along with sensitivity towards the environment and the building occupants is paramount. As such, disruption in these areas must be kept to a minimum. We have found Aimteq to be a progressive company in their approach to not only building controls, but in the suggestion and implementation of energy improvements to building controls."
Utilities & Property Systems Manager
"For us, technology must be a safe investment, must not affect the customer experience in our fitness centres, and must go on in the background so as not to cause distraction or disruption. For these reasons, Aimteq’s installation of a wireless solution such as the WEMS one made perfect sense."
Facilities, Contracts & Energy Manager
"Over the 61 sites we’ve seen a 32.92% drop in our consumption, which translates to a considerable saving on our energy spend and correlates well with our sustainability policy. Further to that, the experience dealing with Aimteq was seamless from start to finish."
Head of Engineering
“Aimteq take responsibility to not only lower the costs of running a retail estate – but they bring a ‘can do’ attitude that is refreshing in the market place. By constantly investing in the R&D of their product suite, they bring innovation and creativity into our estate.”
“…please pass on my thanks to your engineer for the call out. He was persistent and got a resolution and was happy to explain the problem as he went along. Excellent service.”
